Default EFI 351 in a 65 - Hood Clearance ??

Hey All,

Has anyone here stuffed an EFI 351 into a 65?? Wondering if it will fit under a stock hood ??? The donor is a 96 Bronco and the mounts are the early style with the motor mount stud pointing straight down if it matters .

I think bronco/truck motors have taller intakes, so beware.

A bronco intake belongs on a bronco. get a gt40 style upper (or explorer upper intake) and go to ford motorsport for the matching lower. youll thank me.

Soooo If I go with the Motorsport Lower and GT40 /Explorer Upper will this fit under a stock hood ???

for some reason I have only seen carbs on 351 /65 swaps, which led me to wonder if perhaps there was a problem with clearances...

buy a cowl induction hood. they fit really good and youll have a reason to have one- unless your building a sleeper.

I just finishing one up,I found an edlebrock clone on e-pay that the guy had 3\4 of an inch
milled off between the upper and lower. I have just enough room to close the hood without the engine hitting it when it is tourqued. It's a lot of work, but it is worth it.
