Default Which tranny is better

I have a 1967 mustang and the tranny which is a c4 the drive went out on it and it will cost just as much to rebuild it as it would to get a whole new c4. But i was told by people that if they were me that they would get a c5. And i dont know much abt transmissions so i was wondering if anyone out there that could give me any advice?

p.s. by the way my car has a 302 in it with a 4/11 posi traction rear end. just in case it helps.

you can go eiether way. if you get the c4 rebuilt, you can upgrade it with a shift kit. i would go with which ever one comes with a better warranty. stick with the c4.
