hey everyone i have just a thought.... i reacently replaced my carburator on my 289, 68 what i didnt know is the friend i bought it from didnt tell me that the intake manifold was from a 73 so i hade to make trips to kragen for the right one so finally i get one a 2 brl for a 302,5.0????? my 68 is a 4.6 so does that make it a 5.0????????

no not a stock intake un less it was a 2bl to 4bbl conversion then it would still be minimal. u should have a 302(5.0) if the car is a 68 cause the last year for the 289 was 67!

During the first part of 1968 the 289 2-V was sold (it is possible to have one). I have seen a few factory ones in years past(they are rare), it was labled at 195hp, in 1967 the 2-V hp was 200.

www.mustangdecoder.com it will give u info from ur door tag(if the door is the original) and vin!(should go by the one in the engine compartment)!
