I have a 1967 mustang and it has poor acceleration going up hills what could cause this?

Info:

1) Engine and drive train
2) Mile on engine (since new or rebuild)
3) Type of carb
4) Ignition system - stock points or other
5) Is this new behavior or is the car just new to you?

Get your timing set right, then tweak the carburetor.
