i heard from a friend who recently built a high compression motor that he wasnt at all happy with his msd distributor. he said he could have his car idiling, flick the distributor and the car would run like garbage. he suggested pertronics or mallory. any have any prefrence between those two brands?

thats good to know. I wont be using a pertronics. my only concern about msd is that it wont be so easy to hook up. all ive got is the 2 wires going to the dizzy and every msd i see has more wires than i have fingers

Can you tell us why you won't be using the pertronix system? Works great for me.

sorry, not trying to hyjack this thread, but, slick, you wouldn't happen to have been in the matawan/cliffwood NJ area yesterday would ya? i saw a stang that looked EXACTLY like yours across the highway from my girls house. almost scary how it looked like yours, even the rims!

but back to the point, which dizzy is the most cost effective? almost everyone i know (monte guys, stang guys, camaro guys and a challenger guy) use the MSD and the MSD rev limiter.

I was thinking about the MSD 8352 also. Can get off ebay right now for $250 - plus no shipping. Don't need an igntion box. I currently have a flamethrower coil - I'm assuming it will work with this coil. Also, would interested in hearing othere experience with it.

actually, lemme clarify my question from my last post, which dizzy and coil combo is the most cost effective in the way of performing very well and not killing the wallet?
