Default 67 fastback interior/carpet question.....

hey guys. i have a 67 gt fastback that has original burnt amber (6F) deluxe interior. i'm replacing the carpet, which seems like it has been replaced before. Is there any way for me to know what the original carpet color was? i have a Marti report but it just tells me the interior color and that it has deluxe interior, but nothing specific about the carpet color. thanks for the help.

check the vin plate on the door...it should give you all the info you need.

right, i know. thats where i got the "6F" from that tells me the interior was saddle. the problem is, nothing on the door plate tells me about the CARPET specifically. did the carpet color HAVE to match the seat and rest of interior????

yes normally there will be a carpet that will match the interior color ie:door panels, seats etc etc. im not sure if they make a saddle interior carpet for your car, but most likey most vendors will carry it, but yes if you have like blue interior than the carpet will be blue, red, you get red carpet so on so on
