vinal dye on seats?
Im in the proccess of re-doing my interrior its turning out very nice a little problem with the center console ashtray but besides that one of the smoother projects ive done. My question is about the vinal dye, they sell at most mustang venders, its very shiny. Im way to young to know how this car orginaly came but i couldn't see it being that shiny, is it?
I have done some dying in my car and to the vinyl top (it was black) as well and it looks great all around. Not sure if I would do the seats that way. I don't think the dye would hold up to all the traffic of getting in and out of the seats.

When I bought my car more than 10 years ago, the PO had dyed the vinyl seats dark brown from the original Palomino. The rear seat was just fine, but both front seats were showing the palomino coming through. I guess if you dyed the front seats every year or so, it might be OK. The vinyl dye I used on my console was not very shiny.
