Painting question
When I replaced my radio last week, I had to take the gauge pod out and I scratched my dash just a tad. Well, I am **** retentive, so want to give it a touchup shot of paint. However, I have a pretty good coat of wax on the metal part of the dash. Now, how do I prep that small area so it will accept the paint without bubbling?
Might try a wax and grease remover. Used it on the interior when preping the dash, doors, vinyl pads, etc. on my son's 67 coupe. Not too abrasive but cleans well....got it at Autozone...

wash it a couple of times with soap and water then use the silicone wax and grease as stated above and wipe it down with one reag and dry it with another do this few time then sand with some 800 grit and paint!
