Supposedly the seats on my 1966 coupe are "Black Crinkle Vinyl and Black Rosette Vinyl". I am trying to find out if they are original as I was told. From the photo below, can you tell me if this is what I have?

 

What does your VIN say the black color should be. It probably just says black. To me, black is black.

 

The decoder says the seats are as above ...

Again, black is black. You are lucky to not have to deal with reds, whites and tans.

 

Those are correct for 1966, the 65 are all vinyl! Those are 100% correct for 1966

 

Huh? Vinyl is vinyl, and black is black. They were all vinyl back then.

 

Not the 66's they have a comfort weave to the inner parts of the seats! Not the same as all vinyl

 

Thanks! I wasn't sure as the "rosette" part threw me, thinking there should have been some girlie rose pattern instead of the weave you mentioned (and visible in the photo above).

The guy at the seat cover place works on lots of older cars and has a Mustang himself, so hopefully he'll do a great job restuffing the seats and fixing one small separation in the back seat.
