How do I remove the door panels on my 67coupe? I started prying on it and a clip popped off, but then it started tearing...do I need any tools or something for this, or just need to know the proper way to do it?
For the price of new panels, you probably want to buy new ones. Take a putty knife and run along the outside of the door panel so you can identify where the clips are located and then pull on both sides next to the clip. If you are doing interior, there is a great book by Art TRantafello called Mustang interior restoration guide for 1964 1/2 to 1970.
I just ordered two door panels and two arm rests for $97. The arm rests cost as much as the panels. Might as well get some panel clips too if you order panels. They are like 15 cents each.
Cool thanks. Maybe I was thinking of those aluminum inserts that are around 100 or something each. Mine are kinda old anyways so Ill probably just tear em out. Are the new ones made of sturdier stuff?
