HI Glen,
I put them on my car and could not believe the difference.

I have no doubt I will notice a marked difference in ride and handling. I have been preaching this stuff enough to know. But, until today, I didn't think I needed them. Well, now I do. So, in a few days after they arrive, I will be getting dirt under my fingernails.

Hey Glen,

I'm impressed. It almost sounds like you are shying away a little from stock there Just kidding.
I am looking forward to your drive report. Give it a week or so to break the shocks in, then tell us what you think.

You are one of the few who can have your cake and eat it too. Between your coupe, and the Mach 1, you've got the best of both worlds.

It takes everyone four hours to get that bolt off.
ORIGINAL: slickman

When I did my rear spring, it was a PITA big time.. There was one bolt I could not get out, it was frozen in the spring. Had to use a small cutoff wheel and kept cutting sections of stuff away till I got to the bolt. Took 4 hrs for that alone...

I ain't worried about performance springs and sway bars just yet. My 289 is listed at 200 HP at the flywheel, but I doubt that. I don't drive very aggressively with Ol' Yeller, so don't need those upgrades just yet. If I want to go fast around curves, etc. I just jump into the Mach. The reason for the KYB's is that when I went to the liquor store which if 4 miles from town today, I noticed it was floating a little at 65 MPH. Yep, time for new shocks. I have already replaced the rear springs.

i took mine off quick? i jacked up the car and removed the nut for the main eye bolt remove the u bolts removed the shackles took out the rear end pulled the spring towards the ground and moved it side to side a few times and then took a punch and drove it out!

Yeah, well your bolt was obviously not as rusted in as many of ours are/were. A jack hammer could not have taken out my bolt. Sawzall was the only solution.
