Default KYB Gas Adjust shocks

Old Yeller started getting kinda soft on me, so I decided to take the plunge and put KYB gas adjusts on all four corners. After checking with the local parts place they quoted me $229.00, NPD lists them at 138.00 in their catalog, Texas Mustang only carries the GR 2's, but Dallas Mustang quoted me 129.00 for the four. So, in a few days the old man will be under Ol' Yeller replacing the softies for the KYB gas adjust shocks. That oughta help with the mushy ride. Then, I guess I will go ahead and venture over to Austin to pick up the front disk upgrade from Dennis. Then, I suppose I will get a new suspension kit. Then..............It never stops does it guys?

I ain't worried about performance springs and sway bars just yet. My 289 is listed at 200 HP at the flywheel, but I doubt that. I don't drive very aggressively with Ol' Yeller, so don't need those upgrades just yet. If I want to go fast around curves, etc. I just jump into the Mach. The reason for the KYB's is that when I went to the liquor store which if 4 miles from town today, I noticed it was floating a little at 65 MPH. Yep, time for new shocks. I have already replaced the rear springs.

When I did my rear spring, it was a PITA big time.. There was one bolt I could not get out, it was frozen in the spring. Had to use a small cutoff wheel and kept cutting sections of stuff away till I got to the bolt. Took 4 hrs for that alone...

That should be your next project Tyler. 40 year old leaf springs lose their tension, so the butt end not only sags, but you will notice a marked improvement with handling as well.

Well, tomorrow i am gonna bleed brakes and hopefully finish the exhaust. Then I want to clean the under body and coat it with some por-15. I have got some surface rust that needs to be stopped.

Yeah, I noticed that with your disk brake upgrade. I have a little underneath too, but only superficial. I'll just wire brush it and paint it.
