Default Help "transmission

I was cruising back into work from lunch and my transmission locked up in third gear. I was able to get it into the parking lot in third but am wondering if I need to find a ride home or if there is something I can do to get it out of third. I put some decent pressure on the gear shift but it would'nt budge. It's a three speed manual in my 67.

I have all my tools in the trunk and some gear oil, would that be an option?

thanks in advance

Your linkage is proibably locked up. Put the emergency brake on, put a block of wood or brick behind a tire, jack up the driver's side, put either a jack stand or some more bricks or rocks under the cross bar under the engine, and crawl under there. Jiggle the linkage until it comes loose.
