Default Steering, Power to Manual

I have a 65,V-8 with power steering that doesn't work. I want to take it off and have the valve and ball stud rebuilt. For the mean time can I put on a manual drag link and just have manual steering? Are the dimensions the same? My car has a manual steering box for some reason, I think the guy before me want power so he add the valved drag link. It's not the link with the removeble valve or I could just buy the adapter. Any ideas?? Any thoughts on where to send the valve for the rebuild? Thanks Ric

Default RE: Steering, Power to Manual

Mine came with powersteering but we took it off and bought the little adapter to turn it to manual. Pretty expensive for that thing...
