Door Post getting pulled
After calling 3 body shops, even driving to one where the lazy mechanic refused to pull it, were taking it to a chevy dealer to have em hopefully pull the post straight. We got some washers shimmed in under the door hinge to give an idea of how far it needed to be pulled. Rented a u-haul trailer for $40 a day (much cheaper than dodging cops and the $130 ticket for no "mud flaps"). So excited, tomorrow at 8 it has to be there, so Ima get hardly any sleep after work in long antcipation. Took 3 tries to get it on the trailer, the brakes needed some fluid again and I didnt wanna jump over to land on the truck, and the ramps on the trailer were so slick I bout threw my rearend off sideways trying to get up there. This is hopefully the last thing to be done before we can get the new fender aprons installed, quarter panel patched, and start stripping paint off.
The first mechanic we took it to tried to tell us he could get the door shimmed and lined up straight, but I wanted it done right so we took off. But he did say that for the fender aprons we should make sure their all lined up, proper dimmensions and measured across and diagnol. So if anyone could give me some numbers for a staright 67, maybe some pics Id really apperciate it.
