starter problesms

ok ive been having problems with my starter the past few days. well i replaced it to but when i start my car it makes a slow whine and then the noise quits. should i be worried?

Not a real good description of your problem. Is the battery up to a full charge?

battery is brand new. it makes a soft whine or hum for a minute or so then quits. i think im paranoid though.

It should not be making any soft whines after it starts. You have a starter or solenoid that is sticking temporarily. A minute is a long time for this problem.

So its like itâ€™s running after you let go of the key? It should spool down after 5 seconds or so, if its sitting there running after you let off the key there is a problem.

i know what it is im use to holding the key for a while to get it started and thats where that noise is coming from. i replace the soleinoid and starter today along with the cables.
