Default Car show yesterday...

There was about 6 Classic Mustangs.

What really suprised me was all the mods. One had felt seats. A '66 was painted Aucopoco Blue, a '65 painted some non-ford red... Just alot of little subtle stuff that I knew was incorrect but it seemed like they didn't care.

I was talking to a few of the competitors, and I asked them how they were judged. They said that if more than 5 things are non-standard then you have to enter under rest-mod. If it's less than that it's rest.

It was pretty wild to see that even in a car show there really wasn't that many mustangs that were actually rest to stock. I guess what it all comes down to is that after seeing the show I've decided to keep my 'stang the original vintage burgundy... and esentially stock. It seems to be a bit rare actually being all original interior and everything else.

PLUS THE WIFE SAID I COULD GET ANOTHER STANG TO CHANGE THE WAY I WANT!! [sm=bounceybounce.gif]

That's surprising to hear that so many have restomodded their classics. I'll keep mine original, thank you. In a few more years, you and I may have the only originals left on the planet.

Yeah it really was suprising Glen. Guess it helps that mine is already that way.. much less work for me... need an engine detail, a new paint job, and an interior detail and I'm set...

Looks like they took a new T-bird and chopped the roof. Butt ugly IMO.

I have a friend with a GTO. He loves that car almost as much as I do mine. I think any of the old classic muscle cars are great. I wouldn't turn down someone giving me a GTO.
