Default Coil over conversion

I have been thinking about doing a coil over conversion. BUT, all the kits I have found are WAY to pricey for me. Has anyone found a place that does not have their heads in the clouds trying to make a killing?

Have you checked with Summit? Looks like really good prices to me.

That's another one that is WAY too much $$$$.. They would sell allot more if the prices were reasonable.. They just don't get it..

I'll have to check.. I don't mind spending money as you know soaring with all the stuff I have doing to my 66. But anything over $800 for a coil over or a rack and pinion setup is too much $$$.

let's use this one as an example:

retails for about $1690

rack 350.00
column 400.

$ 900.00 + for the cradle and hardware?

The one thing I'm not sure of is if I can use my stock column with a rack setup. I do know some year the steering box and shaft that goes through the column is one unit. Not sure what that was. If you're sample below is right, if I can use my stock column, I can get the rack setup for $350??

you need the cradle to bolt the rack to... i've seen kits for the stock column at about 1200.

You might even want to consider the Mustang II coil over set-up.
