OK, so now we are going to want pictures of your install job. I have faith that you will do an excellent job!
BTW: just in case you are wondering. The way the original tach was installed by Ford (or dealer), was to disconnect the pink lead at the bullet connector, then the tach lead plugged into that, another lead coming back out of the tach plugged into the pink resistor wire. This is why in the original configuration, if the tach took a dump, you lost power to the coil, and the car died as well.
The way I am showing you to do this, and the way the new repro tachs work eliminates this issue.
When I said it was the correct way, I wasn't just guessing.

I've got a cyber 6pack of Henry's Rootbeer betting on you. Make us proud!!!

Well I went and got some "bullet" connectors from ACE and figured out that they are way to small to fit the bullet connector for the pink resistor wire. ACE only had one size of these connectors. Do they only make one size of bullet connector? The 18-22g and 14-16g have the same sized "bullets" on them. Where can I find the right sized ones? I am thinking of going to Best Buy (electronics store) and asking them.

I doubt if Best Buy will even know what you are talking about. Ace hardware or Napa *may* have them. If you have an awl or a pick you can open up the bullet on the ones you have, until they plug in nice and tight. That will work fine for what you are doing.
I got my stash through the guy who supplied all the nuts and bolts for a local dealership. Can't remember if it was Lawson, or Kar Products.

WOOO IT WORKS! Finally got all the connections made and started her up! Thanks a ton Scott, couldnt have done this nice of a wiring job without you. Enjoy your Rootbeer!

Oh and I found the three hole plug for the lights, and it works also! Now I can hook up my oil pressure and water temp gauges to that too.
