It's a big area but it is very thin. What ever it takes to get it straight.

Then it looks like you need a new door skin.

That is a door skin. What you think door skins are perfect out of the box? Not! Here she is primed up and getting a bath.

Well.....SKUSE ME! I didn't know you reskinned it. Speak up bro. Whatcha' gonna do with that hole in the side? Are you going the Shelby route and actually make it into a rear brake cooling vent?

That is a very good question. I thought about that for awhile and I think I'm going with the stock 67 quarter loovers. I do like the shelby/gtcs side scoops but I think it will be too much. I can always do them later if I like. I would not be able to do the brake cooling if I wait but I don't think I'll be SCCA racing this thing to need rear brake cooling.

Didn't think so, just wondering what was in your planning.

BTY if I had it to do over again I would have fixed the original door skins. They had rust holes in the front but those repop skins suck. The fitment was terrible. I had to add weld to that back of both side to get the thing to gap on the quarter. I'm still not completley happy with the gapping but the fender and door gap on both sides looks good now. The rocker gap is not the best but that is the least visable of the 3.

You know what they say, the best layed plans of mice and men...or something like that. The plan was this was going to be a 6 month project. I'm on month 10 now. I'm hoping to be done before and year is up.

You're doing some good body work John. I like the front valance for a restomod, although I wouldn't put that on mine. When you get her color coated, shoot us some pics.
