We keep using the word Bondo. That is a name brand for body filler. Don't body shops use a better filler brand than Bondo?
yeah. bondo's got a pinkish hue to it and the stuff the shops use is more of a sea foam green-ish

i think it's just the fact that everyone knows what bondo is or maybe there's 2 types of bondo, the body filler he used and the pink one people think is a "cure".

it's just easier at this time to refer to it as bondo. [&:]

Bondo is brand name that everyone uses when they really mean plastic body filler. No I'm not using "Bondo" Brand Filler. It is the good quality stuff from the body shop supply store. The color of the filler is only due to the hardener that goes in the filler. Nothing to do with brand of filler. The two hardener colors are blue and red. Depending on how much, and what color hardener you put is is what color you end up with. I agree bondo in not a cure. You must use it to get a panel straight not build it up to create your own panel. If you have ever watched American Hotrod and seen how they do it you will know what I mean. They do the metal work then basically coat the entire car in bondo and work it down with long boards until it is perfectly straight. I don't see anyone complaining about the bondo they use. That is what ya gotta do to get these old buckets straight!

Sure! BTY, I just ran the totals on the car. I said I wouldn't until it is done but I really wanted to know. Looks like$ 18,000. Not as bad as I thought.
