probably around 215-225. I usually overestimate, so it might be lower. I know the 302's didn't have too much more power stock in 68 than the 289. and a 289 had 200.

what? Ideal, a 289 2v had 200. A 289 4v had 225, and a 289 hipo, had 271. Now in todays terms of HP, a 289 probably has around 190 or less.

We were both wrong. I just looked at my options book, and a 289 2v had 195, and 302 4v was 230 and a 302 2v was 210. This is all for 68. Keep that in mind. Your model did indeed have 200. In 68 there was no 289 4v or a 289 hipo.

oh, right right. i did know that it went down to 195 in 68, but for some reason, i was still thinking about my car. You are right ideal. So if he has a 2v 302 with headers, i was very close with the HP numbers. He probably has 225-230.

2v is a 2 barrel carb car, 4v is a 4 barrel carb car. Making sense now?
