I am certainly not following what he has or hasnt done in the last months, first I have heard of him, but running the above listed parts is just fine, if he doesnt limit the rpm with his right foot or cam selection then he will learn quickly. Many, many, many stock short shortblocks 302's and windsors turn some serious numbers. Take a peek at how many stock shortblocks are running around with 10 pounds of boost in them and living plenty long lifes, bottom line for me is, pick a cam that will fall on its face around 6-6500 and the motor will live forever, BONE stock shortblock

Got to agree with you there. I think we are talking the same language with the RPMs.
Yep limit the RPS to 6/6.5k and all is ok with the short motor. Unfortunately, with the Victor Jr heads/intake, using a cam that tops out at 6/6.5 is a waste, and would produce less power than perhaps a better combo maxing out at 6/6.5 such as the Performer RPM where the whole combo is matched.
As it is, the vic jr heads flow way too much for a cam that tops out at 6/6.5k.
