Default REAR SPOILER

HI, I JUST GOT AN ORIGINAL REAR SPOILER FOR MY 1970 SPORT ROOF AND I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT IT
1. DOES IT REALY WORKS AT HIGH SPPED?
2. WHICH IS THE RIGHT POSSITION FOR THE WING?
3. BECAUSE MY CAR DOESENT HAVE THE HOLES IN THE TRUNK, I DO NOT KNOW WHERE IS THE EXACT PLACE FOR DRILLING MY TRUNK.
4. IS THERE AN EXTRA SUPPORT THAT HOULD THE TRUNK WHEN IT IS OPEN? ( BECAUSE THE SPOILER IS VERY HEAVY)

THANK YOU VERY MUCHO FOR YOUR HELP
GREETINGS FROM MEXICO

Yes, the reason for them is to hold the rear end down at high speeds. Here is a pic of a 70 Mach that will give you an idea of where to put them.

did those cars really get fast enough for them to be actually functional? or is it just for looks?

i personally like it without the spoiler.....but they just me....

functionality for a rear spoiler is to provide downforce at 150MPH +/- with a not so aerodynamic car as the classics, i would believe it to work sooner. LOL! i like the look of the 70+ stangs with the spoiler. but it has to be a FB!

Yeah, the most effective spoiler you can add is the front spoiler. That keeps the wind out from under the car so she doesn't float so much at high speed. The rear wings are effective even at 90 MPH and above, but how many people drive faster than that? For the most part, it is just for looks, unless you have a real badassed engine and drive train and the suspension to go with it, AND you are racing at the track....not the 1/4 mile either. Look at the NASCAR racers some time to see what I'm talking about.

That picture isnt a great example IMO. I've seen better, I also prefer the spoiler matte black. Personal opinions though!
