Yeah, the most effective spoiler you can add is the front spoiler. That keeps the wind out from under the car so she doesn't float so much at high speed. The rear wings are effective even at 90 MPH and above, but how many people drive faster than that? For the most part, it is just for looks, unless you have a real badassed engine and drive train and the suspension to go with it, AND you are racing at the track....not the 1/4 mile either. Look at the NASCAR racers some time to see what I'm talking about.

very good points. ever watch nascar and see a guy get nudged in the back and just lose it royally? yeah, they help LOTS! but on a DD car, you really only have it for looks.
the front spoiler/"ground effects kit" would be the best option cause you are looking to keep air out from underneath your car. that's really what causes lift.
I think they look good on a coupe, but I agree they need to be black. Mine is currently gloss black a la PO. When I get around to repainting, I will fix it and repaint it flat or semi gloss black.

Not the best picture, but you get the idea

Just be careful to make sure you get the right one. That spoiler was used on many different cars in the late 60s early 70s. My car has the spoiler however, the two uprights are two tall and whoever installed it did not install it in the correct place.
