AFR 165, 185, & 205's. For your combo I would say 165 if you don't plan on doing anything else later down the road. I also really like the Trick Flow heads. They are really good out of the box and totaly awesome when CNC ported by somebody that knows what they are doing with them...example TEA Total Engine Airflow has some awesome TFS CNC ported heads.

In my opinion those are the best heads that are a direct bolt on to a windsor design that you can buy. All the aftermarket companys are way overrated. These valve sizes are perfect for street use and these heads are 25 lbs lighter than cast iron. $1250 bucks well spent.

I've been looking into these from RHS.

They are cast iron, but should give a good power upgrade. Mustang & Fords had a write in a recent issue as well.

I don't know what or where you have been reading but those GT40x heads have been wasted time and time again by the Trick flow heads out of the box. The Trick flow heads are also 1200 bucks new. The AFR (only $1300-$1400) heads tear those up also in every single test that has ever been done. Also it is all in the combo and just throwing on a good set of heads if the combo is not right will not give great results. There is so much more to it then just cylinder heads.

I'd agree with the AFR's being a good head. But trick flow and edelbrock are pretty much what i was going after with the overrated comment. Shoula cleared that up. I just like the GT40x's for the street and the direct bolt on factor that other heads, even other gt40 heads wont give you.

Have you used an AFR head, a TFS head, and an edelbrock head? The reason I ask is the AFR bandwagon is full steam ahead. I have been using the TFS head for the last 13+ years and can tell you after using dozens of them they are far from hype. I just cant sit by and let people talk so much untruth nonsense when they have never used a product and pass it off as facts. The wedge head is a phenomenal head and there is no hype about it. So unless someone has real world experience using the above mentioned heads, and im not talking about magazine/internet reading experience their opinions are 100% useless. Just from your opinion of the best bolt on head leaves me to believe you havent had the experience needed to make such comments. Good Day
