Default Car Value

I had a question. I have a 65 Mustang GT. Custom ordered by the first owner from the factory. He ordered an A motor with the 4 speed manual tranny. I was told that I am only the 3rd or 4th owner of the car. At one point the car was professionally stored for 10 years. The rear end end shifter got upgraded at one point, but I was given the original ones removed when I bought the car. Where would I go to get the best idea for value of the car. If anyone van help me please let me know

Thanks

My best advice (albeit inexperienced), how much would YOU sell it for? Take the number, add about 5-10 grand and make that your asking price, if someone buys cool, if not then you're already overshooting what you wanted in the first place and you have a buffer. Otherwise, there are car collecter magazines and borders you can look at to get an idea from. They have people selling all sorts of classics in them.

Depends on what style.
Is it a coup, conv, or 2+2 fastback?

looked it up for ya and a 65 coupe is worth about 13,000 in good condition and about 31,000 in Show quality condition. so id say depending on where u think it lies inbetween good and show is how you should price it. ( EXAMPLE: if u think the car is about 1/2 way inbetween good condtion and show quality ask about 22,000 for it )

do you want to know the value for your own personal knowledge or to sell it?

on a personal level that car could be worth millions and in the real world it could be a 5K beater.

Thanks for the info Musclecar fan_67, thats good to know. I appreciate you lookin it up for me. I am planning on putting the car up for sale. I had every intention of fixing it up, although I lack the time to do it right now. I was trying to find out what a fair price would be. I am in the military and deploy frequently. I figure if someone wants to pay what I ask to sell it for then I will part with it. If not I am perfectly happy with keeping it.

Thanks guys
