Could you be a little more specific as to why they won't line up?
From what you've posted, it could be you are trying to use 6 cylinder mounts on a V8, or SBF mounts on a BBF, or maybe they are just too tight and you just don't have any wiggle room. Or they are on the wrong sides or backwards.
Hell, it could be any number of a boat load of things.
The more specific you can be the better someone can help you.

Good luck,

like i said, they are the correct mounts for the motor, but the mounts arent side specific. I just cant get the bolt holes to line up, like the mount wont go down far enough

Couple weeks ago I had same problem with my ´68. I swapped 289 to 390 and engine did not went down far enough. Angle of the frame side motor mounts was wrong and bolt holes did not line. I ordered correct mounts from Perogie and problem gone.

In this picture you can find what difference there is between frame side motor mounts. Basicly you can drill new hole and do it that way or buy correct ones. Note that new ones are for small block and for big block you drilling or good used ones.

well, i got one side in today, but the other side still wont come down far enough. Once again, the motor mounts are for the motor that is there, but I just cant get them to line up properly. We have a friend who is a mechanic and he'll be dropping but in the next day or two to give a professional opinion. But looking at the pic above, my mounts look fine, just that it doesnt want to fit.
