power booster
OK I am going to have to admit that one of my vehicles is not a Ford, and I am having problems with it and can't seem to find any help from the other guys. My 89 cherokee that has a 92 cherokee power brake set up, helps to stop it better, has a vacuum leak. I can hear it bleed down from inside the cab after I shut down the engine and the hiss is evident when stopping. although I havent tore the jeep down to look I was hopeing for some armchair troubleshooting. I have finally started putting parts back on the Mustang yesterday and do not want to spend any time with the jeep. Mustang rebuilding is much funner and happy making than working on a stinky Cherokee. no ABS 6cyl. is there a rebuildable diaphram maybe or is the power booster shot. Also the ABS booster is 60.00 and the nonABS is 120.00 would the ABS one work? I would really like to spend the time with tang now that I almost have the front end suspension installed. Besdes the cherokee is way stinky to work on hard. whst do you all think. new booster time or look for the leak and put in a repaair kit of some kind if available. This probably doesn't go in this part of the forum but it does involve letting memwrok on the fun car instead of the beater truck. Thanks
