Default small or big block?

ok, what is the 351C considered as, the biggest of the smallblocks, or the smallest of the big blocks?

i ask this because some of my friends who own classic cars think its a big block, but some say its a small block, they both put up good arguments. so what is it really considered as?

It's a small block. You don't get into the big blocks until the 400's.

OK smart ***, the 390 was a big block. 1967 was the first year for the 390 320 hp in the Ford Mustang. Plus, it was the first "big block" offered in any Mustang. It was to be short lived though, the 390 disappeared in mid 1969.

so whats to say the 351clevo is a smallblock if it shares the same bellhousing as the 390, which is a big block?

352 is a big block, FE family. I'm telling you, you just opened a can of whoop *** with this question. Ford guys have been argueing this since I can remember. It all depends who you talk to. That's why I call it a tweener block.
