What are these called?
I want to replace the pieces of metal on the bottom inside of my doors ... sort of the other side of the rocker panels. They "appear" to be attached by a few screws, so I'm "assuming" these will be easy for me to replace. True? Anything I should watch for once I find out what they are and order them?
They are the ones that also trim off the carpet right?
They are called scuff plates NPD has them for about 10 each or 40 each for original
they also have some with a running horse engraved in them for like 124 [:@]
Oh yeah each one comes off in like 5 min

Edit: I found a photo of what I want and it's not attached to the inner door and appears to be scuff plates .. thanks .. will go searching some more.
Actually no. Running boards were attached to the outside of the old cars. That's where the roller skating girls at hamburger places used to hop up on to take your order. That's why they were called car hops. They also made it easier to enter the car. What she is referring to are called scuff plates.
That may be, but they are not running boards. Running boards are actual boards of wood that were attached on the outside with a rubber liner on top. However, today a lot of pickup trucks refer to the chrome or aluminum step on the outside of the door as running boards. Here is an example.
