Default drip rail trim

Has anyone here left their chrome trim off their drip rails after paint? I have mine off right now and was thinking it might look good. OK, actually it was a little dinged up when I took it off and I didn't want to pay to ship new trim to Alaska.

We have a member who trimmed off the drip rail completely and filled it in. Looks good that way.

tossing the idea around myself, seems to be the easiest way to deal with the rust sitting in there. the very bottom (by the bottom of the rear window) on the passenger side is really rusted out and the D/S has a decent amount of rust. the only downside is if you get caught in the rain, you'll get dripped on and the interior a little when you open the door. it looks sharp. lamme see if i can find the pic Glen found when i asked about the delete. nope, no go. [] where'd you find it glen?

EDIT: found the thread with the gentleman who is doing the delete. here's the link for you. he's got a few pics in there, but not the one i was looking for. https://mustangforums.com/m_1565089/tm.htm
