Default Pitman Arm Removal help

I am trying to remove the drag link and I got all the steering linkages free except the pitman arm. I am trying to free the drag link from the pitman arm it is connected to the stud that goes into the control valve. Everything else is free, my method of removal is : remove split pin from stud, remove bolt, hammer wedge fork between pitman arm and control valve. I got all the other linkages free this way but the last one wont budge.

I do not wish to remove the pitman arm from the steering box due to realignment issues.

My next move is to use a cutting torch and cut the pitman arm in half between the steering box and control valve stud.

Am i missing something, these things should come out with the wedge right and nothing else should be holding it?

The other linkages seemed to be held in the same way and did fight me but came free after a little battle. This dang thing won’t move what gives?

you have to use a pitman arm puller the weage will only damage it. another posiblablity is a two arm puller.

pitman arm puller is used to pull the pitman arm from the gearbox, he does not wish to do that.

I always use the fork too, have you tried to add heat to the drag link?

heat it and tap it with a mallet a few times. maybe it's just a little stuck and stubborn.
