Default 351??

hey i just brought a 65 coupe and it has a 289. the thing is i have a coworker who is sellin a 1969 351, and i was wondering would it be able to fit in a 65 because i hear it is a tight fit. i also heard something like if i wanted to change the spark plugs i have to remove the engine just to change spark plugs it that true thanks doe

Yes it will be a tight fit but it will fit. is it a windsor or cleveland? most likely windsor, which should fit fine. A 351 Cleveland is possible but will be much more difficult i beleive. Isn't there a member on here that put a Cleveland into his 65 or 66?

And as far as spark plugs, I don't know about having to remove the engine or not.

You do not need to lift the engine to change the spark plugs with either the 351c or the 351w in a 65/6 mustang.
