i dont know if its a scam or legit, but i have seen another year x-code before on ebay, i think it was a 68 fastback that claimed to be an X-code. i believe not too long ago someone posted something about there rainbow colored coupe, and another member replied with a link to special mustangs page, i think there was something about the x-code mustangs, but i cant find that link anymore.

i'll tell you by the pictures, it's not a 351/352. and a 390 or 427. those motors are too big and the 351 would be too tall. you wouldn't be able to run a stock air cleaner with a 351 in a 65-66. you'd need a cowl hood. once again, i call BS.

well, i'm not arguing the x code part, even tho it's not found on the decoder. what i am arguing is the 352/390/427. the 351 is a tight squeee and a bit tall for that engine compartment/hood combo. at the very least you'd need a cowl hood if you didn't modify the air cleaner. as for the 390/427, sorry you aren't cramming one in there and if you did, it certianly would not look like the pictures he's got posted. i have never heard of a 352 for a ford.

They made 352 Engines. I have one. It's basically a 390 but alittle smaller. It's an FE big block.

By the looks of it, it could have possibly had a big block in there. The letter from Ford says so. I dont know if it's just me, but i see ALOT of room between the engine and the shock towers. Thats way more room then my 66 coupe with 289.

Here is some info I dug up. Looks like the 352 was also used in the T-Birds.
352 cubic inch

bore and stroke of 4.00X3.50

engine for the '58 T-bird

four barrell carb @ 300 hp

compression ratio 10.2.:1

cast iron crankshaft

forged steel rods, mechanical-lifter camshaft w/machined combustion chambers or cast chambers by 1959.

By 1960, the 352 HP was available with an aluminum intake manifold producing approximately 360 hp.
