To be honest I'm trying my damnedest to get banned from this forum but it doesn't seem to be working. I've begged the man behind the curtain to remove my profile but yet I'm still here. Damn! What's a surly salty bastard such as myself to do?
I can't help myself. I'm weak against temptation. When I see some smartallic punk kid start to get chesty and brag about his deadly actions I feel compelled to put him in his place. Even when I know he can't hear it. Ahh, to be a teenager again. Young, dumb and full of... well you know.
I quoted Glen because he judged a previous thread of mine as being potentially dangerous. And nowhere in that thread existed the possible loss of life. Unless one of my Moon Eyes flew off and happened to decapitate someone. Just seemed a bit inconsistent to me is all.
But not to worry I'm sure I'll be gone by sometime tomorrow and you wont be bothered by my surly self again.

and as everyone has said, if you really wanna prove to someone that you are faster, go to a track, be it a 1/4 mile or perferably a honkey go left or other ract track to race. yeah, you were on back roads, but what if there had been a child playing near/on that road? i'm not trying to make you feel bad or come down on you, just pointing things out. yes, i too am guilty of doing things of this nature. i had my 89 topaz pegged coming back into jersey from mew york and have had my 66 up to 100-110 on a 2 lane highway (almost got pulled over for that stunt) and that's where i learned my lesson.

The 2006 Mustang (non-GT) has a stout 4.0l V6 pushing 210 horses. That litte car has more giddy-up than most of the small block Fords in the 60's. The car it is in has as much as 1,000 pounds less weight to push. Add to that fuel injection, better ignition, suspension, etc...and the car should keep up with or do better than our stock 60's small block Mustangs (I do realize you're talking about a bowtie product). 40 years of technological advances does have some merit on the road.

The 2006 Mustang (non-GT) has a stout 4.0l V6 pushing 210 horses. That litte car has more giddy-up than most of the small block Fords in the 60's. The car it is in has as much as 1,000 pounds less weight to push. Add to that fuel injection, better ignition, suspension, etc...and the car should keep up with or do better than our stock 60's small block Mustangs (I do realize you're talking about a bowtie product). 40 years of technological advances does have some merit on the road.
