Yeah, that Springtime yeller is the cat' meow for 65's.
Use a light colored primer as it tends to blend in better than the gray and black primers.

nason primer in yellow would be a good choice since the paint color is gonna be a light one its a nice high build 2k. as for paint dupont if u want to spend the extra money or nason they can fix u up for a good price(nason is duponts value line) ppg works great and so does r+m(from basf like they use on dream car garage) for clears same goes with the base list above but nason is an excelent value! for there select clear for overall jobs! ive never used sherman williams for a car so i cant comment on them

Ive used PPG Omni, which is their value brand on my work truck. For what its worth, I'd spend the extra bucks on the better line of PPG next time, including the clear.

rustoleum and rattle can clear!

i used some stuff i bought from home realslow a few years to prime my 86 hatch and it worked pretty well. had the car outside for quite some time, just primer, in the rain and nasty weather and it held pretty well. but since you are going to be painting it, i would go with a light yellow primer to help blend and it'll also keep your paint coats down as it won't really matter if it bleeds thru a bit. PPG omni is good.
