100 bucks for sealer with the activator, yellows are expensive more so than red(the higher the color code on the can the more expensive ex if u buy a red with a code of b its gonna be cheaper than a code s red)! but the springtime isnt that bright of one so im gonna say 150 bucks est? and for the clear the nason select can be had for about 130 with the activator

another nice thing about yellow is how well it hides less than perfect body work. Great color for a first time paintjob.. Metallics and dark colors are the toughest to get right, metallics will look good from a distance but up close they will actually point out every rough spot and each place that wasnt wet sanded enough.. Where as yellow and white will hide most of that..

I like a retna burning yellow on some cars, springtime is kinda laid back unflashy and sorta sleeperish.. I like it too...

You have been doin your homework on how to spray and prep the car right? It would really stink to have good paint applied to not quite done work and have it peel off, orange peel, or fish eye so bad the car looks like it has some skin disease.. and runs are a pain

nope, but probably will when I get to the paint stage on the 71.. Still a long long long way to go. But its gettin there..

Paint and supplies have come a long way since I did my first car.. Strange how I havent ever painted one of my cars except with rattle cans..

So whats up with the hookit system? Please expound upon the virtues of the product..

im pretty sure hes talking about the velcro system that 3m uses. all we use at school is 3M's newer version, Hookit 2. i like it alot and just the other night bought 3 different sized sanding blocks and a d/a backing pad for alomst 90$[:@] atleast i can get the paper from school for free, slightly used that is.

edit: here are a couple pictures of the PPG single stage DCC ive used for some projects ive had to do. they looked really good, but have been hanging around the garage for a few months now. im not sure if you can get the springtime yellow color in that line though.
