67 Coupe / Removing Rocker Molding?
Yes, on the 67 there are 6 or 7 plastic clips riveted in place with aluminum rivets. If you're going to repaint, or just leave the trimpiece off, they will leave little tiny holes, but it won't hurt anything. It's easy enougn to pop rivet new plastic retainers on when you're ready to put the metal piece back on. By the way, it's MUCH easier to buff that aluminum trim piece to a mirror finish when it's up where you can work on it without worrying about slipping off and messing up a good paint job! I've had mine off for 10 years, and don't plan on putting it back on till I get the NEXT paint job "just right!!"[8D]
