window thingy

Default window thingy

i have a 65 and my window notch thingy is like rusted out so i bought a new one and i just got off my door panel...now where do i put my new window crank thingy?? i know where the old one is but i dont know how to get it off do i have to get my door metal out of the door or what

I dont totaly understand the problem but to get the window crank off just rotate it 180 degrees and you will see a set screw on the bottom of it. just undo that set screw

ok i want to replace the window regulator do i have to take the shell off the door to get to it??

no, there should be access holes once u take off the door panel......it might not seem like it can come out through there but it definitely can......u have to unbolt it too.....

you have to remove door handle and window crank and door panel , if its an early 65 it may have c-clips holding the handles instead of set screws. these are removed with a window handle tool, bout $6. from advance or auto zone, also get an upholstery removal tool, looks like a screwdriver with a crow foot on the bottom.This is used to pry the holding clips from the door without tearing up the door panel

window regulator is held in by 2 or 3, bolts, remove the bolts, but take care to keep the window in place, with the reg out it will fall to the bottom like a rock, once the bolts are out there is a small clip holding the reg to the spider arm. remove clip then just take the reg out and replace

i know what your saying but i cant get into it because of the shell or the thing underneath the door panel....
