i bought a paintgun for 20 bux. is there a certain type of primer i should buy? i got a price on just enamel paint 150 bux

 

umm, walmart has general primer in little pint containers. i think 7 bucks at mine...

 

get a good 2k primer for a paint store dont use the wally world stuff something from dupont/nason ppg etc

dont buy paint for walmart for body work!!!![:@] it might not be compatible with the paint system he goes with! get a good urethane primer! for the money go with some nason 2k look up finishmasters in the phone book jessie it mixes 4 parts paint to one part activator its very high build its from dupont so its a reputable company. its what we use for primer at work! what kind enamel u get? didnt read that earlier

 

i went to napa and they have the shade of yellow i want. the lady said it was ppg acrilic [sp?] enamel. there is a auto paint store not to far from my house but they want 85 bux for primer. right now i have walmart primer just to stop rust and get it primed. im going to take it to bare metal and work my way up from there

 

theres a reason the primer from the paint store cost 85 dollars it includes activator correct? activator is about 20-30 dollars of the actual price the rest is primer is the itself. i would take back the wally world primer trust me u dont want to start painting and have a reaction
