Default Any suggestions

I have a 67 302 coupe, it had vinyl top, I took it off and the roof is pretty rusted, the bodyshop offered me $700 to keep it hard top. Is it worth it or just fix and put the vinyl top back on?

If the car will see a lot of weather, stay away from the vinyl. You can do a pretty good job of protecting the metal, but time will eventually rot the steel if a lot of water is in the car's future. I've kept the vinyl top on my '71 without any roof problems, but the only water it sees is an annual car wash.

I'm surprised it will only cost you 700 bux. That's a bargain so go for it.

Yup, me too.. They are rare and I'm glad the last owner kept it on.

Keep the vinyl top. Just amke sure they prep the roof properly before they put it on, or else you will have the same problem in a couple of years, if not sooner.
Good luck!
