bondo questions
ok, say, for instance, i bondo my roof because there are alot of hail damage dents on it. well it had rained, it rusted my bare metal a little but that was fixed, then i bondo'd the roof and smoothed it out and then it rained or at least sprinkled again. do i have to take up the bondo to make sure there is no rust or moisture underneath? or is it fine?
yea, now i sound like an idiot, my friend has a 89 firebird and she bondo'd her roof and smoother out the hail damage after she treated rust and sanded to metal, bondo'd it right after it had rained and was going to prime in the morning. should she tear it up and start over?
it should be fine if it was only a couple days. Leaving filler exposed for months at a time will allow water to seep under it. It should still be adhered to the metal good enough that it would seal the water out..
You do wetsand and expose filler while doing so, so its not like a sponge. Making sure all the rust is gone before the filler is applied will keep it from rusting. When filler is used to patch holes in rusty metal it will rust out and bubble up, cheapskate body shops do that. Its a quick fix. Applying it to clean metal in small amounts works ok, just dont get it too thick.
Her car isnt red with a bunch of wings, red tint, v6 powered and tires with a red stripe is it? If so tell raif hi... lol...

thanks, thats what she needed, she thanks you for it. no hers is black with a 5.0 v8. she loves the sound of old muscle and loves old muscle. great combo for a girl huh? well sry, i already thought about that, she likes girls[&o]
Cool, too bad for you she doesnt like the mens.. raif is a joke on a 3rd gen F body board I hang out on, her car is hideous.. Good to know your friend has a real V8, even if it is just a 305..
just fyi here..lol.. why is the 302 Ford a great engine and the 305 chevy being about the same size is crap? Other than its a chevy, the bore is the difference. 302 Fords have a 4" bore, the same as 289's, 351's and 350 chevys, the 305 has a smaller bore since it has a 3.48 stroke crank. The smaller bore makes it tough to get air in because it limits the size of the valve. You cant run a 2" valve in a 305, but you can in a 302.. cool huh? That is why 305s suck, why chevy sucks is a whole different thing..
if you just read all that, you cant have your five minutes back.. they belong to me now, like all the limbs she cut off in Kill Bill...
