Well, I got it all put back together. Now that the front end is done, I will attack the gold covers and black intake tomorrow. Then I guess it will be the dreaded undercarriage. [:'(]

Ever think of replacing that 20hp Briggs AC compressor with a modern unit that pulls a lot less?

Something that would really help the looks of your bay, even though it may cost a lot, is changing out all the hose clamps with some original ones.

Funny you mention that. I was thinking the very same thing today. I will see if I can find the old style clamps.

Hiya Soaring,
I only noticed the battery. I just bought a Autolite top for mine. Seemed kind of pricey. Makes all kinds of batteries look the original. Does that kind of thing make a difference in judging? I don't know myself. Nice work!

they're round, and the screw sticks straight out of the top. Mine are still there.
