Default RE: hanging a door

I just got done doing the doors on my car. I ended up using my legs(had lots of bruises) for the leverage to get em right. Lots of work. Figure at least 2 hrs per door. There is no esy way to do it other than put it on and go from there. Both hinges djust so you have to figure out what to do as you go. I scribed mine before taking off the doors but ended sanding off the scribe marks. Ended up starting from scratch. Mine ended up on the car to be flush with the front and top if that makes any sense. Check out my alignment.
Good luck!

Don't hang it with the door open. Hang it with the door closed. Use the latch in the door and shove that onto the pin in the back of the door jam. You can use wood shims between the rocker and the door up by the hinge to hold the front of the door up. Then get all of your bolts started. It is easier if you left the hinges on the car but either way it's not that hard. Only snug up two bolts per hinge and then start making adjustments. Get the gap on the quarter first and then worry aobu the gap on the rocker.

You don't have to but it will be a PITA if you don't. It will also be quicker in the long run if you take off the fenders.

I held the door up, dad put it on. The other side we closed it bolted it on while I held the plates up.
