How fast are you able to go in 1st and 2nd?

Thanks for the replies, even the smart-asses. I have an 8" rear end, a C4 tranny and 280 gear set. So it's not the gearing. I'll check the throttle linkage to be sure. A buddy thinks it might have to do with the dwell, or the distributor's not advancing. Any thoughts?

...the front gets very light and mustangs have been known to do a backflip at very high speeds .

This thread cracks me up. If the old mustangs have the stock suspension then yes I wouldnt want to be in one above 90mph. But the guy that said they do a backflip...OMG I hope you were joking. Anyway if you set these cars up right then they will cruise a 120 no problem. Mine drives better then most new Performance cars and does 120 like nothing. It feels solid as a rock at those speeds. The benifits of upgrading the Suspension/steering on these cars is not just to make it more fun to drive but It is a WAY safer car when you fix the suspension problems these cars had from the factory. If you can't cruise at 70, 80, or even 90 then you do have a serious problem. Don't listen to the crap that has been said on here about them not being designed to run up over 100. You can set them up to do this very easily.
