Removing The Clutch Pulley
There is a special puller depending on which compressor you have. Don't get silly and start trying to hammer it off. Also while you have it off, replace the sealed bearing with a good quality (read no cheap-a$$ chinese bearings! [:@]) sealed bearing.
If you go to a repair shop, it's about a 10 minute job, and that includes time to drink a soda.

Snap-on, Mac, Matco. Possibly Napa, maybe even auto-zoo or one of the other "lesser" places
. The puller doesn't look like a regular jaw type puller. Instead of me trying to explain what it looks like, go to one of the tool sites and do a search for A/C compressor tools, or compressor puller. If you have the stock York compressor you can just use the name "York" to search on. It should bring up all the tools to service the compressor.
There is a really nice kit that allows you to replace the seal as well, but i suggest you let someone with a lot of experience do that. It's very easy to mess it up. Just the oil from your hands will ruin the seal.
Good luck,
Scott

I'm not a fan of jaw puller for the A/C compressor. The seal is very fragile. Get the puller off set and you risk ruining the seal.
When you look down the hole where the shaft is, isn't the inside threaded?
