hey i havent been here in forever, but i had some questions...
whats a good way to get brake hoses disconnected, i already stripped one and hard to dremel it off, i bought some pb blaster, and its not doing anything.....also, im putting in a new gas tank, any suggestions for getting the gas out of the old one, without spending money......when im odne with all this ill have a driving car, with new brakes and a new gas tank yay

 

Brake lines off of where...master cylinder? wheel cylinder?. The best I have found when those compression fittings start to strip or round off is a good, solid pair of vice grips. Crank those things down and go for it. As for the fuel tank, mine has a drain plug which made it very easy, otherwise I would probably just siphon it out. My 68 doesn't have an anti-siphon device so it is real easy to do.

 

Yeah, my tank has a drain plug too. I guess if yours doesn't, then siphon as much as you can, then take out the sending unit for most of the rest of it. You are going to have to replace those brake line fittings anyway, so just crank down with the best tool you have and hope that it comes loose, but if not then just use a nut cracker, or a dremel.
