so whats the new engine/trann gunna be? how much power? 600 or 700 HP?

While you can take the motor/trans in/out with the export brace in......the whole jub is much faster and easier without in place. At least that has been my experience.

So you took out a 289 to put in a 289? or something different?

The brace did not get in the way at all.. The engine I took out was a plain STOCK 1970 302 with a C4. I'm installing an all new (except the 289 crank and block) 1968 (never touched) 289 with an AOD. The 289 has the following;

Keith Black pistons, Comp Cam's XE262H (493 / 500 lift with 268 duration), Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, Comp Cam lifters and push-rods, Crane Roller Rockers, Edelbrock RPM intake, Edelbrock Carb, high volume oil pump, Chromed 7 qt oil pan and a high volume water pump.
