Default Body cleanup.....

I have just received my 67 Fastback S Code. It is a bit of a basket case, the previous owner had replaced the floor pans, but didn't prime them and left the car in the open. He did the same with the front fender aprons. Now they are suffering from a bad case of surface rust. I am going to clean them up with a wire wheel or something.... but afterwards, what kind of primer should I use? If I use a good Spray can primer will it cause my body shop any problems later? Any help will be appreciated......

I would spray it with self-etching primer that will really, really help any rust from coming back. ever.

Yeah, you need to use a rust encapsulator such as POR 15, then a good coat of color.

por 15 can be sprayed. Read can for instructions. To help get rid of the rust, try some phosphate plus, or similar metal prep solution.
Good luck.

Read good things about the eastwood encapsualtor, but I have not tried it. Por 15 has worked well for me though.

I have found some in NPD catalog, anywhere I can get it cheaper than $104/gal? How much will it take to do my undercarriage?

How about body panels? Just use some self etching primer in a spray can? Or would my paint guy have to remove that?
